Product Overview
Motorcycle & Auto Exhaust Pipe cleaner
Test Scenario
The test I did for this product was on the down tube of the left exhaust pipe. This is the one pipe that gets the most boot marks. I also went for the rust on the left muffler. After riding the bike on a short trip to get the exhaust hot I then started using the product to clean off the pipes. After applying the paste like cleaner on a rag I proceeded to rub it on in a circular motion. The first thing that was very obvious was the vapor that was being released as the Kleen King hit the hot surface. According to the label on the tube and the box these fumes are non-toxic. The second thing I was keenly aware of was the fact that I was very close to very hot exhaust pipes. This is the one thing about using this product that I did not care for. I had to come up with an idea that would work to protect my hands more than just using caution as suggested by the manufacturer. After looking around the garage I final figured it out, my leather work gloves. These worked like a charm I was able to get in and rub the area with the cleaner without getting burned or I guess to but it more accurately, without that uncomfortable feeling of heat. The product worked well with removing the boot mark as you can see from the before and after picture. I did feel the need to add some elbow grease when cleaning the boot mark but it removed it entirely.
After the boot mark was taken care of, I used Kleen King to clean the rest of the heat shield and as a result the entire heat shield looked remarkable better. I looked on the box and the tube but didn’t see where this product claimed to remove scratches from chrome but that’s exactly what happened. Not only did the boot mark come off but the scratches or marks at the top of the heat shield were gone also. The proof is in the pictures. Take a look at the before and after and it is more then obvious in the appearance of the chrome.
I noticed as I was cleaning the rust, tar and something that I was not able to identify off the rest of the exhaust the hotter the exhaust the better the cleaner worked. I had to run the bike a couple of times to heat the exhaust back up during the test. But I was rewarded because the hotter the surface the easier and faster this product works.
The biggest thing that was different from other cleaners is the fact that I was working on a very hot surface and as a result the rest of the metal parts on and around the engine and exhaust were all very hot. Normally, I would wait for the bike to cold soak to ambient temperature before I stated to clean it. As mentioned above with this product you start to clean as soon as you get off the bike, while it’s hot. You have to pay close attention to what you are doing and add that extra degree of caution. You also need to pay close attention to where you are placing your other hand. The hand that you are cleaning with becomes paramount in your mind and you end up placing, leaning, or grabbing something hot with the other hand when trying to apply leverage or leaning over to clean the lower part of the exhaust.

Test Conclusion
This product performs better then it claims, as far as I am concerned. I was pleased with the small amount of effort needed to get a remarkable outcome, the chrome on my bike only looked better when it was new.
This is a good cleaning product and I definitely give it a Thumbs Up.RideNAMA.com Thumbs Up
