Product Overview
An easy to install, good looking, functional clock that can be mounted on the handlebars of your motorcycle.
Test Scenario
After installing the clock on the clutch mount I spent some time adjusting it for easy viewing. This was considerable easy as it has side to side adjustment that can be made with the provided allen wrench. And, the face of the clock can be turned 360 degrees to allow for infinite adjustment.
I had to set the time as it was not set when I received it. I found this to be a little cumbersome with trying to remove the clock from the bezel. I did not want to use something metal so as not to marthe finish. I found that it is a lot easier to remove the clock when the unit is mounted. I ended up using my fingernails and worked the clock out of the bezel. Once I had it out of the bezel the rest was similar to setting a wristwatch. I replaced the clock back into the bezel making sure not to push on the face or crystal as indicated in the instructions. Then after I was satisfied with the unit adjusted and the time set I went for a ride.
During the ride I found that it was easy to view the clock and read it. The numbers were defiantly big and bold enough so that I did not need my glasses when looking for the time. It was even usable from the back seat as my passenger indicated that this was a lot better as she could not see the clock in the radio but could see this one because of where it was mounted. This clock looked good and preformed great.
Test Conclusion
This clock is very easy to install and care for. The black face with white hands and numbers make it extremely easy to view while riding down the road or standing next to the bike at a stop. The numbers and hands of the clock including the second hand glow in the dark so the unit is still usable at night. I found the big bold numbers very easy to read. The amount of adjustment offered by this unit allows you to aim the clock face at the best possible angle for viewing.
This is a good unit and I definitely give it a Thumbs Up.
Product Installation
I found it actually took longer to get the clock out of the box it came in then it did to install it. It was extremely easy to mount the unit with removing the top bolt and slipping the mounting bracket on the bolt and then re-fastening it to the bike. According to the instructions if you are mounting this clock to a Metric Bike that has a recessed bolt you will need to add a spacer and possible a longer bolt to secures the unit to the bike. I had several choices with regard to where I was going to mount the clock for it to be exact; upper or lower on the clutch mount or upper or lower on the front brake mount. I chose to install the BCM using the top mounting bolt on the clutch mount plus I felt it placed the face of the clock at a higher level than if I had mounted it on the bottom bolt. Once I tightened the bolt I was done and the only thing left was to make the final adjustments and set the clock. .
